Full details and rules of First Book Canada and Mother’s Matter Adopt-a-Reader Contest, February 16, 2021

As part of the Adopt-A-Reader Campaign, First Book Canada and Mothers Matter are running a joint contest on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to encourage family literacy.

Two (2) contests will be held across all platforms with the first kicking off on February 16^th, and the second on February 22^nd to encourage reading with your children every day.

We will be giving away two (2) gift baskets of 12 brand-new children’s books (for ages 0-5) to Canadian families who share a picture reading with their children.

How To Enter

Post a picture of you reading with your child on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram tagging both @firstbookcanada and @mothersmattercentre with the hashtag #adoptareaderraffle for a chance to win a gift basket of books!

OR

Reply to any of First Book Canada or Mothers Matter Centre social media posts with the hashtag #adoptareaderraffle and a picture of you reading with your child, showing the importance of family literacy.

You may only enter the contest once. Multiple posts will not be considered multiple entries. The winner of the first raffle (winner announced Feb. 22^nd) will not be eligible to win the second raffle (winner announced March 1^st)

NOTE: First Book Canada and Mothers Matter Centre have the right to share any pictures posted as an entry to this giveaway.

Prizes

• One (1) respondent between Feb. 16^th and Feb. 19^th will be chosen to receive a gift basket of brand new children’s books.
• One (1) respondent between Feb. 22^nd and Feb. 26^th will be chosen to receive a gift basket of brand new children’s books.
• Winners will be randomly selected.
• Winners MUST be comfortable sharing their address with FBC and MM in order to receive the gift basket.
• Canada only.

The first contest will run from Monday, February 16^th to Friday, February 19^th, 2021 at 5 p.m. PST. Winners will be contacted through social media at 10:00 a.m. PST on Monday, February 22^nd, 2021 and will have until the end of day (5 p.m. PST) to accept the prize.

The second contest will run from Monday, February 22^nd to Friday, February 26^th, 2021 at 5 p.m. PST. closed at 5 p.m. PST on Friday, February 26^th, 2021. Winners will be contacted through social media at 10:00 a.m. PST on Monday, March 1^st, 2021 and will have until the end of day (5 p.m. PST) to accept the prize.
