Buy a book, give a book to a child in need

Amazon.ca and First Book Canada collaborate to deliver a huge holiday gift

Updated: October 25, 2018

Amazon.ca and First Book Canada are collaborating to provide up to 100,000 new, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children in need across Canada just in time for the holiday season.

As a result of a hugely successful campaign on Amazon.ca, where every purchase of a qualifying children’s book resulted in the donation of 1 book to First Book Canada, we are proud to announce that we reached our goal of 100,000 books going out to children in need for the holiday season.

These books will create home libraries for children in need thanks to this generous contribution from Amazon.ca, which will begin being deliver to children across Canada in November. Through First Book Canada’s network of over 8,500 educators across the country, children in need will receive books to share with their families this holiday season.

Watch this space for more information in the coming weeks about the breadth and impact of this donation.
